At the risk of repeating ourselves we nearly always mention that the item is rare, we get a buz from collecting hard to find design and often let the more common place pieces pass us by.

This sideboard by Arne Vodder is particularly hard to find, I think I have seen less than a handful on internet searches and to the best of our knowledge this is only the third one to be offered for sale in the UK in the almost ten years since we have been collecting.

Part of the award winning ‘Triennale’ range of sideboards Vodder designed at the end of the 50’s this exquisite sideboard is an early production with early Sibast makers marks. A bank of drawers to the right is offered with the uppermost felt lined and compartmentalized, it is also lockable.

To the left a generous cupboard lined in ash with a single adjustable shelf.

The carcass is veneered in beautiful old growth teak whilst standing on a leg frame produced from contrasting solid oak.

A stunning piece of Danish Modern by one of the most desirable designers.
