A very handsome and rarely seen Model PJ 56 lounge chair designed by one of Denmarks leading female designers in 1956. This chair looks incredible from every conceivable angle.
Produced by Poul Jeppesen Mobelfabrik the solid teak frame shows wonderful joinery detail. The cushions are brand new copies of the original specification covered in lovely soft premium quality black leather. CONDITION: Very good condition with some light age related wear.

NIELS MOLLER MODEL 78 ROSEWOOD CHAIRS
A true masterpiece of Danish design. Designed by Niels Moller in 1962 the Model 78 chairs are considered to be Mollers greatest achievement. They feature an incredibly slender and elegant solid Brazilian rosewood frame which is a showcase for their exquisite handmade craftsmanship. A very desirable and collectable set, these four chairs are early productions which still have their original leather upholstery which is heavily patinated, lovely lovely things. DYRLUND ROSEWOOD SIDEBOARD
A very handsome and extremely fine quality rosewood sideboard designed by Dyrlund Smith for Dyrlund, Denmark. This is a very long and low sideboard with very pleasing dimensions. Four sliding doors with beautifully sculpted handles reveal ample storage space with three shelves, even the interior is lined in rich rosewood timber. A bank of five drawers is held in the centre with the uppermost lined in green baize. These drawers are similar to Arne Vodders designs, you may see this design being sold as Vodders work. Exquisite veneers to the surface, these are the nicest quality sideboards we have sold, the production values are very high.

Model 20/59 gate leg drop leaf dining table designed in the mid to late 50’s by Danish architects Hvidt & Nielsen. These stunning tables are one of our all time favourite designs. Featuring a beautifully shaped oval form surface produced from solid teak held on the most elegant frame which is embellished with unusual brass ball hinges and eye catching brass supports. It really is an item of the very highest quality and design, a real conversation peice. Produced by France & Son, Denmark, with early production tags. This table works very well with our set of Niels Moller chair which are offered for sale below.
A very versatile piece of furniture which can be tucked away and used as a sideboard.
Later productions of this design started using veneers on a thicker less elegant surface, we only deal in the high quality early productions.

NIELS MOLLER CHAIR SET
A lovely set of six solid teak chairs designed in 1954 by Niels Moller.
These chairs have a very well deserved reputation as being true classics of Danish Modern. Within this set are four Model 75’s and a pair of Model 56 carvers. If you have ever spent any time trying to find nice sets of Mollers you will know how hard it is to find a complete set that includes the armchairs. Solid teak construction with original papercord seats. Hand made by J.L Moller Denmark, with makers marks to the underside of each chair.

FRANCE & SON LEATHER LOUNGE CHAIRS
A very stately pair of Model 220 lounge chairs designed by C.W.France in 1965.
Each chair is fully upholstered in fine quality black leather with a finely crafted solid teak frame. There is distinctive detail to the back where the timber frame meets the back of the armrest. These chairs are extremely comfortable, especially the highback version. The cushions are filled with a latex and down mix for the ultimate in comfort. The backrest on each chair is designed to recline a little enhancing the comfort. Very high quality chairs produced by France & Son, Denmark. Makers marks to the inside frame.

FINN JUHL 137 JAPAN CHAIR
Finn Juhl is renowned for drawing inspiration from modernist sculpture and tribal art. In the case of this design he was inspired by a vivid water gate off the coast of Hiroshima at Miyajima. Officially know as the Model 137 from 1953 this is an original production from France & Son executed in solid teak with brass details. A very low sleek design which is incredibly comfortable. Recently put back into production by One Collection originals like this are increasingly hard to find especially accompanied by the footstool. We have reupholstered in a stunning light yellow premium quality wool which perfectly compliments the design and is sympathetic to the original fabrics offered by France & Son at the time. ARNE VODDER OS63 ROSEWOOD SIDEBOARD
An extremely beautiful highboard designed by Arne Vodder in 1958.
Featuring Vodders signature drawer design which are crafted from solid rosewood on the sculpted fascia. A bank of seven drawers is found to the left with five height adjustable shelves behind the sliding tambour doors. The whole carcass is veneered in the most luxuriant and breathtaking Brazilian rosewood, only the very finest timber has been selected. A stunning example from one of Denmarks most sought after sideboard designers.

HANS WEGNER GE290 TEAK LOUNGE CHAIR
Hans Wegner manages to make the most detailed and complex designs seem effortlessly simple, this statement could be applied to Danish Modern in general but it is seems especially apt for Wegner. This chair has all the trademark characteristics of a classic Wegner design. Sublime almost hidden detailing, masterful joinery and a deep understanding and reverence for the timber. Featuring a solid teak frame with original sprung cushions covered in the original Ivory tweed upholstery. It is extremely comfortable, one of those chairs that just feel right when you sit in it. Most examples of this design are executed in oak, teak is less commonly seen. Getama makers brand to the underside.

ARNE VODDER OS11 SIDEBOARD
An extremely rare Model OS11 sideboard designed by Arne Vodder in the mid 50’s. This design is very seldom seen, we have been lucky enough to find one other example a few years ago which we kept for ourselves. Featuring a teak veneered carcass standing on oak legs. The sliding doors are reversible, teak finish to one side, india ink black to the other. Behind the doors are four drawers and a height adjustable shelf.

SARAH RICHARDS, DOCK RHYTHMS
We have long admired Cardiff based artist Sarah Richards artwork having commissioned her to produce some work for ourselves in the past. KAI KRISTIANSEN MODEL 120 ROSEWOOD LOUNGE CHAIR

Things tend to turn up like busses in this business, we have had no Johannes Andersen pieces for five years and then six teak chairs and the large dining set further down the page turn up. This is an elegant set of six teak chairs produced by Christian Linnebergs Mobelfabrik, Denmark. These chairs have the most beautiful sculpted frames and studious attention to detail. One of our favourite designs of all time. Incredibly sleek F/D 135 Boomerang chairs designed by Hvidt & Nielsen in 1956. These chairs are very difficult to find, especially a pair. Solid teak frame with solid steel brass plated legs, each leg retains the original self levelling glides. Brand new cushions upholstered in a premium quality fabric sympathetic to the original colours offered at the time. France & Son makers tags to the inside frame.
PROVENANCE: Purchased from the original owner who had spotted these in the window of an interiors shop in Shoreditch in 1960, he said had never seen such modern furniture.

Lovely little Kai Kristianen cabinet produced by Feldballes Mobelfabrik, Denmark. Finished in lush Brazilian rosewood this design features two beautifully crafted tambour doors with lovely slimline pulls. This design is very seldom seen. Model 540 teak dining table designed by the mighty Finn Juhl. Solid teak timber throughout with a cabinet makers eye for detail in the construction makes this table an incredibly high quality piece. There are two leaves stowed underneath, when extended this table could accommodate up to twelve people. Produced by France & Son with makers tag to the underside. The very highest quality piece from arguably the most important designer of his generation.

Extremely handsome model 164 high-back lounge chair designed by Peter Hvidt & Orla Molgaard Nielsen in 1956. Solid teak construction with laminated beech armrest finished on the upperside with teak veneer. Wonderful joinery detail is also exhibited on the dramatic armrests. Offered with original black leatherette upholstery. Some trivia for you, a pair of these chairs can be seen in Don Drapers office in the first couple of series of Mad Men. ARNE VODDER & ANTON BORG ARMCHAIRS
An extremely stylish pair of desk chairs from Arne Vodders collaboration with Anton Borg. Known as the Ellen chair they feature high quality solid teak construction with a pivoting backrest which is cleverly counterbalanced to naturaly come to rest at the correct angle to the frame. Each chair has the original Hallingdal style upholstery. Beautifully detailed, very eye catching and particularly hard to find. Wonderful chairs, they would look incredible placed facing a desk in an MCM style office.

PETER HVIDT & ORLA MOLGAARD NIELSEN DINING TABLE
We’ve never seen one of these before, in fact we had no idea this design existed until we found this example and started some research. An ultra rare small dining table from two of our favourite designers Hvidt & Nielsen. A beautifully sculpted solid teak surface is elevated on small brass roundels above elegantly shaped legs. An early production from France & Daverkosen, most likely made between 1953 and 1957.
MEASURES: 84cm square by 73cm high.
CONDITION:One small area of restoration to the corner of the surface and one small dent to the side, otherwise outstanding in every way. The patina to the surface is stunning.
PETER HVIDT & ORLA MOLGAARD NIELSEN FD146 SOFA
Spectacular three seater sofa designed by Hvidt & Nielsen in the mid 50’s produced by France & Son, Denmark. This is a very seldom seen rattan backed variation. An extremely elegant design, it is exquisitely beautiful when viewed from any angle. It would benefit from being placed away from a wall so the intricate work of the rattan can be appreciated from behind.
CONDITION:Offered in excellent condition. All of the rattan cane has just been rewoven to the original specification by our caner. Brand new cushions covered in very high quality wool, slate grey to the underside and scarlet red to the topside. These colours are very sympathetic to the original factory colours offered by France & Son and compliment the colour of the teak and rattan perfectly.

Incredibly elegant and rarely offered for sale dining set designed in 1952 by Hans Wegner. Produced from wonderfully contrasting beech and teak laminates this has to be one of the most striking dining sets of the era. An extremely tactile and sculptural design with typical Wegner design flourishes. Produced by Fritz Hansen, Denmark with makers marks to the chairs and table.
PROVENANCE: Originally purchased from E. Lapworth Furniture Depositories Leicester in the early 60’s by the previous owner, still retains a paper label from the company.

MERROW ASSOCIATES SIDEBOARD
Only produced in limited numbers this Merrow Associates sideboard is as an incredibly collectable piece. Designed by Tom Lupton & John Morton in the late 60’s it is low, sleek and incredibly beautiful. Merrow Associates build quality is legendary and it is thought that the expensive production values lead to the eventual demise of the company. Beautiful golden amber Brazilian rosewood veneers held on a chromed steel cantilevered frame. Outstanding.

BORGE MOGENSEN COFFEE TABLE
Very large model 264 coffee table designed by Borge Mogensen in 1956, produced by Fredericia stolelfabrik, Denmark. An extremely attractive design from one of the greatest designers of Danish Modernism. Distinctive solid Oak legs are juxtaposed against a wonderfully grafted teak surface. Incredibly rare and an item of the highest quality, Mogensen designs for Fredericia are particularly coveted. Makers mark visible to the underside. Measures: 182cm Long x 46.5 High x 59 wide.

Beautiful Model FD519 side table designed by Peter Hvidt & Orla Molgaard Nielsen in 1956. A very elegant two tiered design with a rattan lower tier giving way to a wonderfully sculptural solid teak top tier. Produced by France & Son to an extremely high standard.
This design makes for a very effective television stand with a difference.
CONDITION: Excellent condition, the timber surfaces are in incredible condition. There is a small hole in the rattan which is very common for pieces this age. The rattan can be easily replaced if preferred.

ARNE VODDER TRIENNALE SIDEBOARD
Wonderful and very seldom seen Model OS29 sideboard designed by Arne Vodder in 1958. This sideboard won the highly coveted gold medal at the 1958 Milan Triennale exhibition. Excellent teak veneers displayed on the surface with a lovely patina throughout. Without doubt one of the most collectable and desirable Danish sideboard designs.
