A true design classic that looks as fresh and relevant today as when it was conceived 70 years ago.
Jacobsen presented this design to the H55 exhibition in Helsinki in 1955. After the launch, Arne Jacobsen used it in many of his architectural projects.
It is lovely to find earlier examples, especially finished in veneers that are no longer in production exhibiting such lovely grain and patina.
We have stripped and re-polished the shells, a few Knicks and chips have been filled and colour matched. No issues structurally. We have left the legs alone as it is lovely to see the tarnishing and age present, this is what separates a vintage original from a modern production.
