A particularly nice Model 138 solid Teak lounge chair designed in the late 50’s by Finn Juhl.
This is one of our own personal favourite chairs and we often think this design has a stronger Japanese aesthetic than the Model 137 Japan Chair.
This design optimises the simple yet sophisticated detailing that is synonymous with Danish Modern, it is visually perfect from every conceivable angle.
This particular example was sourced from the original owner who purchased it from new in the1960’s. Unusually it still retains its original fabric which is lovely to see, it displays well and is perfectly usable as it stands and very comfortable. We have priced the chair lower as it has not been re-upholstered however we can offer to re-cover the chair in a fabric of your choice. we have trade accounts with some excellent fabric suppliers and can organise this at cost.
The chair is in excellent condition with particularly attractive timber grain to the armrests, it really is a lovely example. An early France & Son makers badge to the reverse, this example would have been produced in the late 50’s.
EU Customers, we can often include any import duty within the price, please ask for further details.
