Beautiful solid teak lounge chair designed by Grete Jalk in the mid 50’s for France & Son, Denmark.
This is an early production chair and the most desirable in our opinion.
This example offered in outstanding condition. The original sprung cushions with original upholstery. France & Son designed and wove their own fabrics in-house, this nubby textured wool is absolutely beautiful. It is very rare to find chairs of this age with the original fabric let alone in such excellent condition. The sprung cushions yield like a soft mattress giving a superb relaxed seating position.
You will not find a better example.
France & Son makers badge to the inside frame. This chair would have been produced prior to 1962.
