Solid Rosewood and black leather armchair designed by Niels Moller in 1966 for J L Mollers Mobelfabrik.
A highly sought after and rarely seen Danish design Classic, this design is a showcase for the craftsmanship and and fastidious attention to detail that was renowned of Moller. He would spend years perfecting a single design before it went into production.
At the time of writing we have a pair. Both chairs are offered in excellent condition and have some of the most beautiful and dynamic wood grain we have seen on this design. They are outstanding examples.
Newly upholstered in black leather very sympathetic to the sheen and grain of the hides originaly offered, we have also been mindful to keep the seat filling as thin as possible, an overstuffed seat spoils the lines of these chairs.
Makers marks stamped to the underside.
