Elegant lounge chair crafted from solid Brazilian Rosewood, designed by professor Ole Wanscher in the mid 50’s for Poul Jeppesen.
The design references classical forms while adhering to the very best traditions of Danish Modern. A simple silhouette which belies the sophisticated construction techniques which become evident upon closer inspection.
We have had a couple of these chairs before. They really are a joy to have in stock. The sweep and curve of the armrests is particularly pleasing. These chairs have some of the highest production values you will find, they are superb quality.
Original cushions upholstered in a natural tan hide which compliments itself beautifully against the rosewood timber.
This is an earlier example finished in Brazilian rosewood, later examples used Indian rosewood.
