A superb and hard to find teak rocking chair designed by Ole Wanscher for France & Son, Denmark.
An absolute triumph of a design, the slenderness and elegance of the frame is remarkable, with not a line out of place. This has always been one of our favourite chairs to have in stock.
The chair features brand new foam cushions which have been beautifully upholstered with very fine quality wool Marl fabric. The colour compliments the design and the wood tone beautifully.
An example of this design is held in the permanent collection of The Museum Of Modern Art in New York. This was also the design France & Son owner Charles France chose to keep at home for his own use.
Offered in excellent condition. The frame has been throughly cleaned and re-polished, no breaks, repairs or any other issues just mild age related wear.
