A timeless and historically important design by the architect Hvidt & Molgaard Nielsen which began production in 1950.
This chair used revolutionary construction techniques by bending laminated timber in both directions and wrapping the laminate around a solid mahogany core within the leg construction. The architects studied anthropometrics during the design process, this is a chair that feels like it corrects your posture when seated, despite the lack of upholstery it is very very comfortable.
Constructed from laminated beech, with teak seating shells and a contrasting mahogany core detail to each leg.
We have a pair available. Each chair is in excellent condition having be professional re-polished, they are stunning examples.
Fritz Hansen makers stamps to the underside.
