One of our all time favourite designs, the model 147 chair designed by Peter Hvidt & Orla Molgaard Nielsen is one of the most graceful Danish Modern chairs. A combination of the very expressive fluid lines of the frame with the rattan backrest allowing light to pass gives the chair a wonderful aesthetic.
A very early production chair with the earliest gold makers stamp before France & Daverkosen started using metal badges to mark their products. I would estimate this to be a first edition of this design produced in 1956.
