Bernadott, a member of the Swedish royal family and industrial designer working in multiple disciplines. He is perhaps best known for his collaboration with silversmith Georg Jensen.
This design from the early 60’s features a highly sculptural frame with wonderful elegant poise. The wraparound backrest with exposed tenon joinery is a very pleasing feature.

France and son makers badge to the inside frame along with the designers signature mounted to the outside front stretcher. No other designer was bestowed the honour of signing their work for France & Son.
